We're measuring the light coming off you — the color of your skin, your background, your lighting. That gets split into the band that dominates the reading. It's optics, not biofield. We don't pretend otherwise — the full algorithm is published, running live, at /engine. The result is a beautiful, brand-true portrait of the light you walked into the lens with.
The free read runs entirely in your browser — the frame is never uploaded and we don't keep the result. If you buy the full reading or the AI portrait, your photo is sent to our AI provider to generate it, and the result is stored so we can deliver it to you. Sharing by QR or email uploads the finished images (QR files auto-delete within 7 days). The full detail is in our privacy policy.
The core read is free — free to refract, free to download, free to share. If you want more, there's an optional full written reading ($1.99) and an AI portrait ($4.99). Beyond that, we make money from prints and the events arm.
Because it should. The point is that light changes. The aura you refract in a warm kitchen at golden hour is meaningfully different from the one you refract under your office's overheads at 4pm. Both are real reads. Try both.
Yes — front-facing camera in any modern mobile browser. We optimized for laptops because the larger sensor and wider field gives a cleaner refraction, but a phone works fine.
